Robert Craig

Statewide - Robert Craig has been a pioneer and instrumental figure in the establishment and development of hillside and mountain vineyards in Napa Valley’s great appellations. Specifically, he was the architect of the Spring Mountain and Mt. Veeder AVAs. He is a visionary in creating a new wine style for mountain Cabernets that emphasizes ripe fruit, supple tannins, and early balance and integration. His goal is to produce wines that are deep and delicious when young, with structure for long-term aging.

Bob established his winery in 1992 and the first Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon debuted in 1995. His winemaking philosophy is that Cabernet Sauvignon should be made with structure, balance and a sense of place. Although famous for the mountain wines, Robert Craig’s hillside Affinity is equally complex and engaging.
