Statewide (except for San Diego area and Tahoe) - Bryan Page takes a grassroots approach to winemaking.  Having worked in every facet of the food and wine industry for years, Bryan and his family managed in 1997 to put one vintage to a single barrel; 36 cases of Page Proprietary Red.  This grassroots, build-from-the-ground-up approach has been carried through to the present day with Page wines.  When they say 'handcrafted' they mean it, and it's not just in hand-sorting the grapes, but also in the hand-cranked basket press; many of the wines are hand bottled (thereby limiting the amount of forced air to move the wine from barrel to bottle), and all of the specialty wines are hand-labeled.
