The drippy weather managed to take a brief hiatus to allow for some sun to shine on Fort Mason, providing additional proof that even the universe loves Syrah. It also made the mission for a necessary RRRB (Rhone Rangers Recovery Beer) far less arduous. There is not a pro wino I’ve met who doesn’t go all googly eyed for the Rhone, so you better believe it was a lovely affair. Pictured on the right is Adnan Daken, owner of Internos Wine Cafe, and Joe Corsini, Springboard Wine Company San Francisco sales ninja, both lining up to get some thirds at the Skylark table. John Lancaster and Robert Perkins of Skylark were rockin’ out pretty hard with their smoking line up of single Vineyard Syrah’s and blends, i.e. Redbelly and Las Aves. Chris from Wrath was like Inspector Gadget on a tear. I do seriously think he had 5 arms pouring at once, trying to keep up with the crowd. You would have thought he was hawking Saxum, or manning the complimentary drink table at an unfortunate wedding to garner that kind of attention.

Good Sunday, good grape juice, and a good gear up for Hospice to Rhone!
